Larry Rice
19XX — to present

Larry has lived in the Village of Hodgkins for thirty-four years. He and his wife Sandra have one son, Eric, and two grandchildren.

He has been employed by Electro Motive for twenty-two years. He served on the Hodgkins Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasantview Fire Department-Paid On-Call, Police Commissioner, Hodgkins Park District Commissioner, and Village of Hodgkins Trustee.

Larry says, “he believes if you live in the Village you should serve the Village to the best of your ability.”

The Kimball & Cobb Stone Quarry was the first major business in Hodgkins in 1888. This seemed to be the first step toward the settlement of the Village of Hodgkins. The President of the company was JEFFERSON HODGKINS, hence the village of Hodgkins came into being.
