
Village President Noel B. Cummings has been a resident of Hodgkins for the past 48
years. Noel and his late wife, Nelda, have two children, Daniel and Sherry. Their
son Daniel is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army. Daniel and his wife
Jean reside in San Antonio, Texas with their two sons, Brandon and Richard. Noel’s
daughter Sherry and her husband Daniel Klotz reside in Hodgkins and have one son,
Joseph. Joseph is a police officer for the Hodgkins Police Department. He and his
wife, Holly have two daughters, Caitlyn and Emma.
Noel attended grade school and high school in Burnsville, Mississippi. He attended
Junior College at North Eastern Mississippi. Noel served in the U.S. Army from
1945 to 1947 and is retired from International Harvester Company in Melrose Park,
IL. Noel was a supervisor at his company for twenty-eight years.
President Cummings served as Village Trustee from 1975 to 1979. He has been the
Village President for the past 30 years. He has achieved numerous accomplishments
while serving as President.
