        The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Hodgkins, would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to our Community.

        We are very proud of the progress that Hodgkins has made in the past twenty years.  The Village Board have worked very hard to point our community in the right direction.  We have increased our tax base by bringing in the retail business's and strengthened our industrial area.  A strong tax base will allow the Village to provide many benefits to our residents.

        As a resident of the Village of Hodgkins, you can enjoy a safe family oriented community.  A combination of the Hodgkins Park District, Library and Elementary School provides many programs aimed at teaching and keeping our children in a safe environment.  The Hodgkins Police Department and Pleasantview Fire Protection District are among the top in the State and offer many programs to assist our residents.

The Village of Hodgkins recently started construction on a new Village Hall.  The new building was dedicated to our Village President, Noel B. Cummings, in September  2008.  Our new Administration Building will proudly be renamed, Noel B. Cummings Administration Center.  We are expecting construction to be done in early 2010.  .

 

 

 

The Hodgkins Village Hall  is temporarily located at 8890 67th Street in the old Carlson Plywood building. The new Administration building is scheduled to be completed in early 2010.

The Village Board has been working on this new project for over two years. The design and selection of the combination of Architects and builders is a very complex undertaking. “We are starting to outgrow our building,” said Village President Noel B. Cummings.

At the Annual Village Picnic in September 2008,  Village Officials held a ceremonial groundbreaking.

The recently demolished Village Hall was constructed in 1965 at a cost of about $75,000.00. It housed the village offices, a postal sub-station and, until 2001, the Hodgkins Police Department.
